Aria Kiani is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores themes of perspective, empathy, and connection. Born in Shiraz, Iran, he spent much of his childhood in Glasgow before relocating to southern England. This multicultural upbringing has significantly influenced his artistic perspective.

Kiani’s educational background includes a BA in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts, completed in 2016, and an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art, earned in 2023. His practice spans various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, print, installation, photography, glassblowing, and performance. He often engages audiences with subjects such as restriction, nationality, care, and action.

In 2024, Kiani was honored with the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers Arts and Crafts Student Award at the British Glass Biennale for his work “Intimacy 22.”

Kiani’s first solo exhibition, “Emoticon,” iwill open on November 28, 2024, at Galleria Objets in London. The exhibition will delve into themes of sensitivity, technology, and the mental spectrum, featuring intricate bodily sculptures that blend emotional depth with contemporary artistic expression.

Fresh off a residency with UCA and celebrated as a 2024 British Glass Biennale prize winner, Aria presents a groundbreaking new body of work developed over the past year. These pieces will debut exclusively in this exhibition, offering a glimpse into the evolution of his artistry.

As part of the event, a charity raffle will be held in support of @chooselove, featuring works generously donated by five award-winning artists. Join us to experience transformative art and contribute to a meaningful cause.
