Marco Di Coscio – Us

This series of works aims to showcase the diversity of humanity and the beauty that stems precisely from the diversity of all its possible forms. What attracts the author is the uniqueness and unpredictability of being—its darker sides and brightest. This both frightens and fascinates him simultaneously, leaving him in a constant state of questioning. The collection’s title, “US,” reflects the author’s gentle and inclusive perspective toward all the subjects he encounters. The author desires to raise awareness, as much as possible, in an audience increasingly inclined toward an anonymous and sorrowful uniformity. The works on display aim to inspire self-reflection in the audience, encouraging them to see the “other” simply as a possible variation of the self. The choice of technique and subjects is intentionally heterogeneous, serving as the author’s stylistic signature. The photographs presented here were taken over five years and across three continents.
