Window Bass on November 9th

by Mira Moiseyev

Window Bass, a London-based platform run by and for a community of creatives, facilitating music-based events, held what felt like a sonic jungle at Galleria Objects on November 9th.

The event took place between 4-10pm on a Sunday night, drawing in the early birds and setting an upbeat rhythm for the rest of the week. Despite its official early-end, people stayed dancing, drinking, and chatting past the set’s close. The weekend-wrapping night featured a memorable lineup of Ventuno, Karellos, Kiyo, Samo, Ÿudini, Sapih b2b Klonde.

With a wide range of genres spanning from pop and jungle to techno, there was a beat for everyone to dance to. The deep ambient layers and switches in genre shifted the energy, keeping the crowd present and the night evolving. Unfolding in unexpected – yet never disappointing – directions.

Ÿudini – DJ, producer, creative director, and without a doubt a crowd favourite reflects he felt amazing:

The set went off, the crowd was vibing hard, and there was such a real connection through the music. The gallery setting made it even more special — beautiful people, beautiful venue, and beautiful energy.

The event transformed the gallery space into a dynamic three-room layout – a window DJ booth, courtyard garden, and cosy living room-esque space – blurring indoors and outdoors, the event encouraged movement in a space that felt both homey and dynamic.

DJ Karellos echoes this sentiment, particularly enjoying the venue and people:

I felt like I could really express myself and my music, and it was heartwarming to see a positive reaction from the crowd.

Charlie, a guest vibing in the garden courtyard, described the event as ‘jungle-like’, referencing not only the music genre but the lush bamboo surroundings and the subtle residue of a rainy scent from earlier that day.

Another guest appreciated the ‘cosy’ atmosphere mirrored by the warm glow surrounding the DJ booth and the comfy bean bags offering a space of rest in the primary gallery space, which housed a selection of refreshing beverages, of which crisp wine was a big hit.

It’s like bringing club-grade DJs to a house party

The usual gallery space transformed into a sitting area – a perfect space for catch up’s between old friends and novel connections between strangers, inspiring exchange of creative ideas and beginnings of collaborations.

Kiyo, spinning house and techhouse, reflects on the night’s energy:

You get that outdoor but cosy vibe when you’re in the crowd and get to listen to the music while being outside. I think it’s definitely an immersive and unique experience when you’re the DJ as you get to interact with the crowd in a unique setting. I think the venue itself is designed in a way where the best place to put the DJs is, in fact, by the window, as that space in the garden is usually where everyone likes to socialise! The crowd itself was buzzing and full of energy, great vibes, and everyone was there to enjoy the music and support each other.

Sunday night gave a distinctive rhythm, a soft descent from the weekend, and a creative renewal for the week ahead. It wasn’t the first Window Bass event, and it won’t be the last. We look forward to chatting and dancing with you next time.

Sincerely,

Galleria Objects
