Feeels… is an expression of hyper sensitivity, a hand feeling a lot, but still supported by the strong hands bellow to feel some more. This piece contemplates the artist’s own support structures through family and friends, those who are there to support you no matter how hard it gets. The fragile but sharp glass is held up by caring bronze hands, reaching through the drift.

Aria Kiani: “Glass hands have been an obsession of mine for the past two years. I began making them whilst studying my MA at the RCA, then went onto Martin Janekey’s sculpting course at Corning Museum of Glass in New York. When I returned I started as Artist in Residence in the UCA glass department, at which point my thinking and skill level had finally aligned on the hands.”
